We're working to bring free equine therapy and therapeutic horseback riding to Lahaina, on the west side of Maui. It isn't offered yet, but with your help, we can make it real. Tiny Hoof Animal Therapy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has served West Maui since 2019.

What is equine therapy?
Equine therapy, also called equine-assisted therapy, uses the calm, intuitive presence of horses to support emotional growth, confidence, and connection. You don't need any experience with horses, and you don't have to ride. Much of the healing happens on the ground: grooming, leading, and simply spending quiet time with a gentle animal.

Who equine therapy will help
Our planned equine therapy program in West Maui will welcome people of all ages, including those living with autism and developmental differences, PTSD, anxiety, and emotional challenges, and those navigating grief, trauma, and recovery, including Lahaina wildfire survivors.

Always free for Maui families
Tiny Hoof is funded entirely by donations, so our programs are always free. We never want cost to stand between a family and the support they need.

Do you currently offer equine therapy? Not yet. It's a goal we're working toward. Today, Tiny Hoof offers animal-assisted activities with our horses, goats, and other animals, and we're raising funds to launch equine therapy and therapeutic riding.

How much will equine therapy cost? Nothing. As a donation-funded 501(c)(3), Tiny Hoof offers every program free to families.

Will you have to ride the horse? No. Most equine therapy happens on the ground: grooming, leading, and connecting with the horse. Riding is never required.
